The Junior Weilienne Scholar Grant is an annual grant, available for Ph.D. and M.A. students working on Simone Weil’s philosophy and whose papers are selected to be presented at the AWS annual Colloquy. The total amount of money allocated to each student will vary according to the number of eligible participants and the funds available yearly.
This grant will only be awarded once-per-person per lifetime. Students interested in pursuing the grant should follow the same directions as other applicants to the Colloquy, with the difference that they must mention their interest in the grant, and include the title of their dissertation with their submission. If a proposal is accepted, the president will notify the student of the amount of money allocated for that year just after the general notifications of acceptances have been made. The money will then be awarded and given directly to the student at the Colloquy.
